Thus, Age of Empires IV focuses its attention on the Normans and their various struggles to obtain and retain the crown of England in the Hundred Years War that France fought against the English in the march of the Mongols to the west and in the formation of Russia after an invasion from the east. Instead of finding us some kind of completely original narrative that is based on the historical events of a certain culture in a specific time, this title decides to recreate a series of moments that defined the course of various civilizations throughout the Middle Ages. One of the sections that makes more than this clear are the different single-player campaigns.

Age of Empires IV, in more ways than one, is more of an evolution of what was seen in the second installment, leaving aside some of the characteristics that defined what we saw with the third title.
